The Essential Beliefs
The Bible
The entire Bible originated through the supernatural work of the Holy Spirit speaking through God's prophets over a period of 1500 years. God's prophets had these impluses from the Spirit written down in ancient manuscripts and eventually translated into our Bible today. God has always expected His faithful followers to read, study and obey these sacred texts as if they were listening to the voice of God.
God The Father
We believe in the "one God and Father of all" as revealed in His word (Ephesians 4:6). This "one God and Father" created the Cosmos and every human being for all times. This loving Father sent His own Son to rescue His people from the tyranny of Satan, giving them a blessed life on earth, and eventually taking them home to heaven for eternity.
Jesus The Son Of God
We believe in the one Son of God ("Lord", Ephesians 4:5), Jesus Christ who left heaven and came to earth to rescue all who follow Him. Jesus is the embodiment of all truth and becoming His disciple is the only way any person on earth can eventually live for eternity in heaven with God (John 14:6 and 18:37). Jesus is our elder brother, and we are the children of God (Hebrews 2:11-13). Jesus is our High Priest in heaven, who has atoned for the sins of authentic believers and continues to help His family on earth (Hebrews 2:17,18).
The Holy Spirit
The one Holy Spirit (Ephesians 4:4) is the 3rd spiritual being in the Godhead and is often responsible for unleashing God's amazing power to accomplish the miraculous on earth. The Holy Spirit is sent today to indwell the hearts of born-again believers for the purpose of empowering them to develop a completely transformed and gifted life (Acts 2:38 & 5:32).
Salvation
All responsible adults have been spiritually alienated from God because of our sinful choices in life (Romans 3:9-12). However, Jesus Christ promised that all born-again believers are rewarded with forgiveness and heaven (John 3:3-5). This gift of salvation occurs for those who have an authentic faith in Jesus Christ (Romans 3:21-25). Therefore, salvation is a gift of grace from God given to those with faith in His Son (Ephesians 2:8,9). Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ as Lord of their life. This is evidenced by repentance of sins, confession that Jesus is Lord, baptism by immersion and leading a life committed to His service. Luke 13:1-5; Romans 10:9,10; Matthew 28:19,20; Acts 2:38
The Church
Jesus promised to build His church and it would continue on earth until the end (Matt.16:18).
That church has continued in various forms over the last 1979 years on earth. Jesus is the one and only Head of His church, (Ephesians 1:22,23; Colossians 1:18) and authentic disciples answer to His authority. We recognize today there are many churches throughout the world that please the Lord, and He alone determines the spiritual condition of each of His churhces (Revelation 2 & 3). We are simply a non-denominational church seeking to please and follow our Lord, Jesus Christ.
