Quite a number of families were encouraged by other Christians and ministers that there was a need for a church like ours on the north side of Surprise. Without the needed funding and an available building, our church decided to begin meeting in a large home. We turned the bedrooms into classrooms and the family room into the sanctuary. It was quite cramped, but with great patience and love we met in this home for one year. From our first worship there were quite a number of our men and women who stepped up as youth teachers and church servants. Also, our new church was immediately blessed with several men and women being born again. Out of great diversity and devotion, God had blessed a group of committed believers with a wild and wonderful beginning. We've finally moved from the home, but take with us those fond memories.

Amazing Grace families are quite diverse in their spiritual backgrounds, races, and life experiences.

Some have just begun their spiritual journey with the Lord, while others among us have come from many different churches. Some of us began our spiritual journeys in the Catholic, Luthern, Baptist, Church of Christ or Christian Churches. Some of us have fond memories from our spiritual roots. However, Amazing Grace Church is simply seeking to be a non-denominational church, free from some of the traditions and rituals practiced by some churches. Whatever your spiritual roots are, you'll feel right at home among this diverse family.

Worship in the house became cramped, and so we prayed for a larger worship facility. It wasn't long until God graciously answered our prayers. The loving leaders of the Sun City West Christian Church allowed us to begin using their building. Check out our new worship facility on "LOCATION" page.
