Basic Beliefs
|
We believe in the one God of the Bible (Ephesians 4:6) who is the creator and Father of all humans. He is the only eternal God and exists in 3 persons: The Father, the Son, the Spirit. They are equal and are one God.
All responsible adults are alienated from God because of their sinful lives (Romans 3:9-12). However, through Jesus, God seeks to reconcile people to Himself by a free gift of salvation through faith. When people turn from a self-ruled life, believe and accept Jesus as Lord they are saved, given eternal life and headed for heaven. This amazing free gift is publicly demonstrated to others by repentance, baptism and a life committed to serving God.
Jesus is the son of the eternal Father and is co-equal with God. He lived on earth as a sinless human and offered himself as a sinless sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on the cross. He rose from the dead to demonstrate His power over sin and death, and then ascended into Heaven to be crowned King of the Cosmos. Jesus will return to give His followers new spiritual bodies and take them into Heaven for eternity! Jesus is our brother, Savior and heavenly High Priest!

God
Jesus Christ
Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son. He works through His supernatural words in the Bible, and also lives within each Disciple when they are born again. His mighty power helps Christians develop spiritual gifts and a holy character like Jesus. The Spirit is God's earthly person who empowers and guides His people.
Salvation
Church
The Universal Church is Christ's family on earth. All men and women are equal priests in Jesus' family (I Peter 2:9) and can use their gifts to serve the family in many ways. Christians should seek out a faithful church and serve Jesus in this flawed, but loving family. Many churches please the Lord today on earth. Amazing Grace is a non-denominational church that is also seeking to be faithful and pleasing to our Leader, Jesus.
Our Basic Beliefs
Sacraments
We believe in and practice the two major sacraments given by Jesus. We honor Jesus by practicing the weekly sacrament of the Lord's Supper. All are invited to participate in this spiritual event. We also practice the sacrament of baptism for disciples publicly proclaiming their alleigance to the Lordship of Jesus. We can assist any believer who is seeking this special sacrament with their Lord and Savior.
